Reflection On Wix

          This semester, I learnt how to create an e-portfolio on Wix from the English composition course. This learning not only lets me know how to create a webpage, but also increases my motivation to write.

          First, I feel a sense of achievement by setting up a Wix website. Under the teacher assistant’s guidance, I created the home page and every subpage one by one, moreover, I started to beautify the web pages. This process fostered my creative abilities and my sense of beauty to design attractive web pages. However, sometimes I focused on the design so deeply that I forgot the clarity of layout. Thanks to the TA and the teacher's suggestion, my webpages became more readable after adjusting. Wix learning allows me to experience the interesting process of creating a website.

           Second, I enjoy writing because my compositions are read by people. In the past, we just submitted several essays and journals to the teacher. Teacher was my only reader and gave me marks and scores. But after I create a Wix website and post my articles on it, my friends or even the fellows from other universities can read my works and leave some comments below. Their feedback pushes me to write and to think about how to write can draw my readers’ eye.

          However, everything was not going very smoothly in the beginning. I took lots of time to get familiar with Wix to arrange the website. There were so many functions on Wix that I didn’t know how to apply them. However, after learning by myself and asking classmates, now I know how to insert full screen background images, videos, and comment boxes, etc. This process was challenging, but when I made it, I felt elated! Although creating a website took me lots of time, I still enjoyed exploring different interesting functions to design my Wix.
